Channel 4 Blinded Season for 2002
by Bootleg

EXCLUSIVE! Channel 4 are already planning another Blinded Season for next year, and BlindKiss have managed to get hold of a copy of a screening schedule due to air next July, thanks to one of our moles inside the high brow television network. Here it is ...

Tuesday, 25th July (note: mid summer)

8 pm Location location location
John was tragically struck blind at the age of 10 with a severe condition called Opthalmia Pigmentosa Schlerosius. His affliction stops him from doing most things but when he's not in rehabilitation or thinking about his eye condition or listening to sweet theraputic music he has sometimes been seen to give the faint glimmer of a brave smile. Oh and the team find him a house in this special edition of the house hunting show.

8:30 pm Brookside Special(i.e. not a normal episode)
Jacqui Dixon remembers that she's got a retina problem and goes blind for five minutes again in this everso special episode of the long-running soap.

9 pm Blind man's Buffy
Do ya see what we've done here? Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel get involved in a special episode of their show commissioned because of the tenuous 'buff' thing going on. Thank god they're not actually blind though, eh?

10 pm Blind Celebrity Braille Countdown
Richard Whitely presents a specially adapted version of the popular afternoon quiz show, playing the game are two blind celebrities: Stevie Wonder and David Blunkett.

10:30 pm Blind Celebrity Big Brother
Channel 4 have searched for some well known blind people to fill the celebrity house for this special night-long edition of the popular reality game show. They found two blind celebrities. You decide, to vote for Stevie Wonder to be evicted dial 09011 154401 or to evict David Blunkett dial 09011 154402

11 pm (PICK OF THE DAY) Mummy, why is the world so unfair?
A freakish blind child who bears no resemblence to your average blind kid, is directed into an innocent frenzy of tears, unrealistic situations and weird utterences by the documentary makers in order to feed and perpetuate those bizarre and pathetic images of blind people.

11:30 pm Equinox Special
Do blind people see in their dreams ...? Everyone likes to believe that maybe blind people are compensated for their horrific existence by mystically being able to dredge up visual experiences while in dream state, even though they don't even necessarily know what another human, the colour red or a Big Mac looks like. Channel 4 investigates by asking lots of scientists and social workers about their experiences with the blind.

12:30 pm Spastic blind spastic theatre company
A blind film maker (ha ha ha, no honest) presents his extremely bitter ranting short film about how actors make blind people look like wankers every time they take on the role of a blind person (note: it is always best for a sighted person to play a blind person in films because of insurance reasons and the fact that real blind people never look shamblingly blind enough)
